Jim is the founder of Downey & Company, LLP. He has over 35 years of public accounting experience. He has a masters of science degree in taxation from Bentley College and a bachelor of science in accounting from Bentley College. Jim founded the firm in 1984. Paul J. McGovern, CPA, CFP, Partner
Paul has over 20 years of public accounting experience. He specializes in accounting and taxation of automobile dealerships. Additionally, he is a Certified Financial Planner. Charles Paolino, CPA, Principal
With over 20 years of experience, Charlie has serviced the needs of small and middle market businesses in the areas of accounting, tax and business consulting. He combines strong technical skills with practical solutions unique to each client's needs. Charlie joined the firm in 2000 after serving as a partner of another regional CPA firm. Jamie joined the firm in 2003 after serving as a manager in KPMG's audit department. He brings over 14 years of experience to the firm. Jamie has extensive experience in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and accounting for complex transactions. Jamie is a regular contributor to the "Managing Your Money" section of boston.com.
